UWEC Holiday Concert

EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - After the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the annual UW-Eau Claire Holiday Concert a year ago, the concert is back on this year.

This is the 47th year UW-Eau Claire has held a holiday concert. According to John Stewart, UW-Eau Claire's director of concert bands, over 300 performers are in this year's concert, including six different choirs, the university orchestra, and wind symphony.

Over the course of the 1.5-hour long show, each group will perform a piece or two individually, and end with a special finale.

"At the end of the concert, we are going to bring together the university orchestra and three of the choirs together to do the official world premiere of a new piece called 'Winter's Song' by UW-Eau Claire alumnus Kyle Newmaster. We are fortunate that we've got a lot of patrons that come and support. We just love getting to perform for the full house," Stewart said.

The UW-Eau Claire Holiday Concert will take place at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on December 5 at the Pablo Center.
